The benefits of pure oud oil and wood.

Dont know if there is such thread before but wanted to discuss some benefits of Oud and wood.
It has many health benefits and we should spread that to make the experience more enjoable.

It was narrated that Umm Qays bint Muhsin said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “You should use Indian aloes wood for in it are seven cures.”

The list so far for me and mine would be:

1. Altering Conciousness
2. Pain Relief
3. Nappy Rash (both pain and inflammation, in conjunction with sandaloil)
4. Anti-Depressent
5. Dispelling fatigue
6. Boosting Libido
7. Meditative Aid

God damn @RobertOne thats more Than half my List. I can't relate to no3 but I can add: nap inducing or basically a sedative.

The Indian aloes being mentioned in this Hadith is not the Oud we know, rather it is the Indian Costus or Qust Al-Hindi.

As for the benefits of pure oud oil and wood..from my own anecdotal evidence I would say that it helps increase my stamina. If I'm tired after 12 hours of work, burning a piece of Oud will allow me to go another few hours no sweat. As far as oil goes it truly depends on the type

will post the musk and Amber part inshaAllah after , have to find my phone 1st, lol , and run to the day care and dodge coughing kids with runny noses , and diapers changing like wind mill never stopping , Barnyard all the way , 1 thing I noticed is when babies drink mama's milk the poop don't smell that bad , but give baby formula the poop smells horrific , too much info lol ,
