@Oudamberlove … oh you still got that one… yes I remember that was a smoky version of original WAHID (that till today no one dared to buy, haha, and I won’t blame them, definitely see why… =). I was so fed up after a long cooking with almost no oils is coming out (just some nearly solid particles), so I collected the 1st lot and turned the heated full on… That is how the smoky Wahid came to life…
If one day you finally decide to swipe it you may get an idea of how original WAHID smells like… after the smoky blast feeds away you will get that powdery, perfectly tuned, dry earthy/coconuty wibe, which is of course much harsher and less complex then in original version, however it may give a good idea what to expect there...

Adam, you have no idea how many times I've pulled up the description of WAHID and wished to pull the trigger! I have no doubt it would blow me away. Royal Vietnam is amazing by the way!

@eddeyboub , yeh to me that rose was not great , but smelled pure and authentic. I even like the scent from the vial, however once I applied it on my skin the whole limy, and fruity Taifi character disappeared and I left with a very spicy, heavy scent… So perhaps it was due to my body chemistry. As for clove, yes, its was very heavy on that… probably due to a high Eugenol content…

@Adam , ooh you tempt me! Prince, I am not! Seriously on the Royal Vietnam, it is that good! And a beautiful bottle. Hope to see more like it. Really nice.

SOTD: TWIS Dark Ground

It's a magnificent scent, truly stunningly great.

At least on par with pre IFRA Amouge Epic.

Robert sent me around 10 samples (all Ensar's oils), so I started sniffing them one by one. When I got to KRouge, Bam! Cherry Tobacco Oudy Bomb!
I haven't swiped KR in a month, and that vial was near empty, it goes to show that KR is a concentrated oil packed with goodies. That's why not everything is revealed in a single swipe (too much, too soon)
Yes, all the vials I sent you were all but empty, but I am Scottish, so what did you bloody expect?

Also, to everyone else on the forums, if you need some copper wire drawn to a specific gauge then just fight me over a penny.

When the correct gauge has been reached just crack the cork off a fine malt and I will immediately stop.

I think I bought the last Taef rose from Al Shareef because after I received it I went to the site and it was no longer an option to purchase. I also had a question, I think read on this site that Taef rose oil should not be clear(possibly from Brother Ensar), however this rose oil is clear. I am not questioning Br Jawad as I trust him completely, I'm just asking if there are exceptions to authentic Taef rose oil not being clear. Thank you
I never came across a rose otto that is not clear, usually yellowish clear.

SOTN: AA Royal Chen Xiang

UPDATE on the Taef rose from ASO: I double checked the rose oil in light and it DOES indeed have a yellowish tint to it, so like you stated above "Yellowish clear" is exactly how I would describe it. Thank you

Went with some Purple Kinam today. Such amazing top notes, top-mid notes, mid notes, mid-base notes, base notes, deep base notes, next day catch a whiff of something and say "oh yeah, thats PK" notes. Seriously, its a modern classic. Purplish-citrusy-floral notes. Some nice purple kinam. Modern classic.
