    Iris Noir

So, I got another bottle while it's on sale... I almost never do this and it may be the 3rd time or so I've ever bought more of anything. Why? Because it's that good. :) It's a true 5-star fragrance, and very few exist in the world. From what I've tried less than .1% are in this league. Some...

    Frankincense

Wow, that's disappointing to hear... I hope things only get better. :)

    Frankincense

Whatever it is... it's really nice too! :) Also, the Black Dhofari Sacra is well worth checking out. Let me know if you come across any of the Socotrana you're referring to though.

    Frankincense

I've been adding a drop of your Hojari oil to a drink I make with water, apple cider vinegar, pomegranate, lemon and honey. It's amazing... one drop per 8 oz is almost too much, it is so potent!

    Frankincense

Mermade has some, link below. It's a different species so hard to compare... They also have Socotran myrrh that's really nice. Just put one of everything in your cart and you'll be good. ;) https://www.mermadearts.com/product_info.php?cPath=43&products_id=7889

    Iris Noir

I received this last week, I'm very happy. :) Like many of Ensar's creations Iris Noir comes off like a vintage perfume, something you might imagine Guerlain made decades ago. I'd call it a white floral chypre with iris being the centerpiece. It's creamy and buttery with musk playing a...

    Ensar’s Sultan Musk Attar

I just got this yesterday... thanks! :) I think this is a gorgeous composition, very traditional... A dry chypre cuminy spice-bomb like you'd expect from Guerlain decades ago, in extrait form. Also very close in character to Roja Dove's Nuwa, the original release that was notorious for it's...

    EO No 1

I meant it will probably sell out quickly. ;)

    EO No 1

Sultan Leather Attar is amazing, definitely one of my favorite and most prized fragrances. I am on a spending hiatus right now though. :( If it's still around later count me in! ...but I'm guessing it won't last long.

    Favorite Japanese or Tibetan Incenses?

I have "Holy Land" and a few other Tibetan incenses. I would have "Lotus Ground" but it's often sold out, hopefully when I need more incense it will be in-stock. I've sampled a half dozen or so Japanese incenses but I think I bought them too late and got reformulated ones because I fail to see...

    Oud Cuisines

I think I may have been misunderstood... Here's an example of when people ask me about my stuff. When people come over to listen to my speaker and then ask questions like "Why not use X, Y or Z instead of what you're using" or "How about speaker X, they do it this way?" These aren't innocent...

SinX is definitely better vs when I 1st got it.

Ceylon 1 was my favorite oil ever... but it is not the same now as I had too much air space in my bottle and it's already a shadow of it's former self... I would be very careful with this oil and use a noble gas to seal it every time you open it, or maybe just use it up quickly. I think this...

Sturdy glass bottles vs. High recovery V-vials

I think it depends on the oil but I do think lighter colored oils with more ethereal notes will not last long, only months, if in a bottle with significant air space. Small quantity samples need to be used even more quickly. I do think a couple oils I have in partial bottles have been ruined...

    My Teacher and I

That reminds me of stories of monasteries where difficult people are allowed to be difficult on purpose, in order to stir emotions and give the monastics something to think about. In any case, hopefully he had some good reasons for his abuse... ;) I can see that it's likely a great majority...

V-vial holders and guitars by Kesiro

That's cool. Building instruments takes great skill, doing that + spinal surgery is amazing. Audio started out as a small side-biz and I had no intention of doing it full time. But, I left my job at Vestas Wind Turbines and about a year later the entire engineering team was laid off. Next, I...

V-vial holders and guitars by Kesiro

I'm currently debating how they'll be sold. I was set on a direct-sale model because I can't compete with 6+ figure marketing budgets, travel to Munich, Hong Kong and Vegas for electronics shows that cost a small fortune to show at, etc. Also, I plan on starting out with one speaker and not an...

    The Maggot Thread

It's difficult not to make some comments, and I don't want to preach, but... IMO everyone is taking things too seriously. Everything we experience, and smell, is just a fleeting, unsubstantial and temporary vision. Interpreting these things as real and permanent leads to becoming weary and...

    Oud Cuisines

Hmm, ok... I can see how the question is asked may be most important. By asking about X, Y and Z maybe that comes across as an impertinent challenge? He may have more insight into the reason the question is asked than the person asking the question... (because most people don't clearly...
