I thought I would be able to guess what type of scent Taha would blend from seeing the reviews of his Ouds here and the descriptions on the AA website.

I could not have been more wrong. Not just slightly wrong but full-on ludicrous wrong a la spaceballs tartan with dark helmet.

When I opened the v-vial (nice touch, TWIS, classy!) I was gobsmacked. It smelled like a cat with kidney problems had gone pee-pee into some industrial wood varnish.

It was pungency dialled up to 11.

I applied some to my wrists and neck, it seemed to increase in character with my skin chemistry and that overpowered my endurance after 3 hours. I was forced to go shower with my usual amount of very skin friendly black african soap that I use on myself and the monsters.

It hardly made a dent in it!

It did however mellow it somewhat, and then I was able to pick out different and deep notes in it this time.

It was absolutely animalistic, is this real civet?, I mused. Then I noticed my armpits were smelling interesting, where the water had trickled from my neck, presumably.

Then I thought, if this is an animal scent, why not use it in an animalistic manner? The vial was reopened and without appling deo I used a few drops smeared evenly on both pits.

It immediately obliterated any chance of B.O.

Four hours on and good. No trace of bad bodily odor and in fact I think my natural barnyard funk has somehow complimented it.

12 hours on and the scent continues to mellow into something lovely but distinctly barnyard and animal but not an Oud barn, very difficult to describe.

Whenever i move around or walk a small plume is released that now smells or mellowed civet or whatever the beastial sharpness is as well as a tiny touch of incense wafting from a tiny incence candle strapped to a musk deer.

16 hours on and it's rabbit hole time. Dear readers, feel free to question my good taste and sanity.

While undressing for bed I found that I am enjoying sniffing my armpits. The scent is now that of faint spices, star anise perhaps and cumin. Also, I am getting a relaxed vibe from doing so. Oh well, off to the asylum then.

I admit that this is my first real pheromonal like scent so I am not used to anything like this but it has certainly grown on me!

Tomorrow I will bathe as usual but once again instead of deo (Tom's of Maine btw) apply more Endamage.

To be continued...

Day two.

After showering this morning again with a modest amount of black soap and plenty of warm water I once again applied Endamage diluted somewhat with argan oil.

Almost immediately it smelled very good and has done so all day .

The scent of my armpits after 16 hours after application of Endamage can be described as a musk perfume. I am very happy I found this.

While picking up a nice bottle of white to go with red bean paste snapper earlier a woman I had stood beside in an aisle came back up and asked me what aftershave I was using as she might buy it for her bf.

@RobertOne - I was quite surprised with your first day review of the Endamage oil. I initially got a vial of this back a year ago with my order and it was pretty much love at first smell. I found it much of a luxury rich Arabian perfume with a french twist that is Oud based. The Ouddy-ness however seemed to fade with time and the more perfume aspect of it reveals itself. But nonetheless, the first hour is pretty amazing to hoard up on this oil. Just recently as I finished the last swipe off the sample vial, I decided to go for the full bottle and with the sale that it was on, was a no brainer and worth the every penny.

Well this just shows how subjective perfumes can be :)

Week one.

Never buying deo again.

Now I smell good at least 36 hours between applications and by good i mean good.

I think the Endamage is just somehow perfect to work with my natural scent or microbiome.

I'm buying some more in a month.
