Attars mix

Hi all,

I was wondering if somebody could help me. Basically I have a few samples that I never use, I would like to mix them in to an attar so I can use them up. Rather than them sitting around doing nothing.
The problem is I have no idea on the quantities I should use. This is where I hope someone could help me :)
I have:

1ml musk grains macerated in sandalwood oil.
1ml grey ambergris macerated in sandalwood oil.
3ml black ambergris macerated in sandalwood oil. Light black
3ml istanbul rose oil
And 3ml oud. (Oud yusuf)

I want to make two 3ml attars.
Attar 1:
1ml musk 1ml rose and 1ml oud
Attar 2:
1ml grey Amber 1ml rose 1ml oud

I was thinking I may be using too much rose oil. Should I decrease the rose oil and add the black ambergris?

Can Anyone with a little experience guide me on the right tracks. Would this give a nice attar smell. I would like the rose to be a top note with the oud and others being a basenote.

Thank you all in advance :)

Hmm true
Tbh I don't know if I have the quantities right.
I'm now thinking just one bottle: 1 ml musk 1 ml Amber and 0.5 rose 0.5 0ud.
I don't want one fragrance to overpower the others.
"Fingers crossed"

I recommend doing it in the initial quantities you were considering, however I wouldn't use Oud Yusuf in such a mix. It is too floral and sweet, and in this kind of blend you need something funky so the sweetness and mellowness of the other ingredients can come into play by taming it down and rounding it off. I'd do something like Assam Organic, or any classic barnyard Hindi instead.

Hi guys
I have another question. Iv mixed the 1ml sandalwood-musk with 0.2/0.3 ml of Assam organic, Chinese exclusive and oud emerald. Samples I purchased off your websites years ago Ensar.THANKS
It smells fantastic already and tbh I can stop at this stage.

Anyway I'm starting to doubt the Legetimentcy of this rose oil I have. I bought it on holiday in istanbul around the £15 mark. It is a clear white liquid and pretty strong as it overpowers oud when I layer it, 1 swipe each. I would've thought oud would be stronger.
Can rose oil be a clear white liquid ? And does anyone know of any websites I can purchase 1 to 3ml rose oil?

Thanks in advance :)

@Nenz: The rose oil you have is clearly a synthetic fragrance oil. Please do NOT mix it with the oud and sandalwood. You can get pure rose oil from any of the online essential oil vendors, like Chris McMahon (white lotus aromatics) etc.

Has anyone used essential oils from oshadi.com. I'm thinking of using the therapeutic grade rose oil to mix with my oud. Can therapeutic grade essential oil be used to mix with oud ?
