Assalamo Aleykom / Hello all!!!

I hope you're all doing fine :D

A friend of mine sent me this picture : and he asked me what it can be. He told me it's an oud. And didnt look like that when he bought it.

He also googled little and sent me this :http://agarwood.ensaroud.com/why-i-buy-oriscent/

So my question is: what is it that cause this problem exactly? Can pure oud behave like this or is it sure that it is adultered? Have you seen this before?

Maybe the Oud Santa put a little glue inside that oil to make it extra yummy! :p

Before the Oud community is hit by another earthquake, let me show you a couple of bottles I've got aging:

Papua New Guinea

Assam

Agarwood oil 'precipitate' is normal and common. Ultra fine agarwood powder sometimes makes it into the oil during cooking. 'Filtering' it (by letting it sediment to the bottom) is a process that can take years and years. A Schott Duran glass filter can also do the job, though not without costing you quite a bit of oil.

Tell your friend he can leave the emergency room now. It wasn't anything to worry about. :)

Woah those look beautiful MashāAllāh! Mabrook Ya Sidi!
When you age them, do you recommend to open the bottles and air it out once in a while or just leave it closed? The 3 gram bottles.
