The Green Phoenix

The green pheonix has landed. I feel that this oud was distilled especially for me. Just as I was getting into the greener notes and craving AK's smoke, this beauty comes along. I also get some beautiful sweetness in the top. This really is a great oud and definitely my favourite category.

Would love to hear more regarding the green note in this oil that you love so much.
I share your appreciation for Jing Shen Lu, and am intrigued that the kyen note you describe could be paired with smoke.

I have never been good as describing scents or writing but here's my two scents!

What I loved about AK, was the incense I sniffed from the closed bottle, on application that incense disappeared but made a reappearance somewhere in the dry down. With the Ltd I get that smoke and incense right from the start to end coupled with a hint of sweetness that the original didn't offer. The green I get is not the minty mentholy green of jing Shen Lu, but a more earthy and leafy green which when coupled with the smoke and incense reminds me of soil/earth?!
