Any recommendations of Japanese or Tibetan incenses you like?
Btw if you're an incense lover but have never encountered Tibetan incense, do yourself a favor and pick some up - it is as distinct from Japanese incense as Indian incense is - it's a whole dimension of the incense experience that most have never encountered.. These are the "barnyard" aromas of the incense world, the equivalent of the Hindi oud oils - though a very different type of barnyard.. They used to use a lot of real deer musk and pangolin scales in some of these Tibetan incenses - that seems to be less common nowadays..
For Tibetan I highly highly highly recommend checking out the Dzogchen Monastery's "Lotus Ground" incense.. There's a rich earthy spirituality in the finer Tibetan incenses.. "Holy Land" is really good also..
