I believe this was a recent harvest. Although there are still trees standing in Sri Lanka, the amount of wood being harvested across the board has decreased considerably since 3-4 months, when I last visited. Everyone looks like a fish without water here. They don't understand what hit them, and how the supply went down so quickly.
Even so, Sri Lanka has always been a universe unto itself when it comes to agarwood, with prices surpassing at times even the offices of the China Market's capos.
We let that wood 'sit' for a night, while we gaged demand, and sure enough it was gone the next day despite the astronomical price....
Sorry guys, I guess you won't be getting any this time around, and 'agarwood porn' is the best we could do....
