I can't help but think this is an attack? Can you prove innoculant was used?
What would make you think such a thing? Please list your reasons! I praised the oil and would still recommend it. In fact, I'm wearing it right now, reveling in its balsam! I sincerely do enjoy it for what it is....

We're here to educate. Oud lovers demand the Truth with a capital T, as I'm sure you know. And it's only a reasonable question to ask... After all, NO 5 year-old tree produces that kind of resin naturally, and we know this from experience, as I'm sure you do, too.

If no inoculant was used, then... just give me his phone number! :D

These trees are between 9/12 years in age not 5 years old. There is no inoculation used just drilling and then letting nature take its course.
I hope that answers your questions. Alhamdolillah you enjoy the balsam, just shows how subjective Oud/ agarwood extract is.

Here's what some Malaysians are achieving with inoculation. 10 month old infection, as claimed by the cultivator.

My colleague says it smells darn good for a 10 month old infection. looks good eh?

Oh I was just sharing some info I got yesterday (was quite surprised too. Hence the excitement to share it here when inoculants were mentioned). Nothing to do with the discussion currently going on between @Ensar and @Faizal_p . I have no significant capacity to participate.

Apologies @Ouddict if somehow my post struck the wrong chord.

maybe stupid question, but can someone clear for me:
about inoculations?
i was thinking that drilling is called inoculations without using any chemicals, isn't drilling and inoculations the same?
or using just drilling is the so called organic cultivation and drilling with using chemicals in the holes is called inoculations.
thank you.

Who knows... may be Ensar can elaborate.

Drilling and inoculation are not the same thing, Peter. :)

Your second guess is the correct one:

Just drilling is organic cultivation (so-called; unless all the other requirements for organic labelling are met), and drilling and injecting chemicals inside the holes is referred to as 'inoculation'.

In my country I met a man a few months ago. He lives in Chittagong city. He told me that in his own land he planted 15000 Agarwood plant seeds 7 years ago & now they become 7 years matured. He was expecting 'BIG BUCKS' from them. According to my little knowledge I told him that he should wait 7 more years to get minimum decent results. He looks shy thus told me _ can't wait that long. I'll start nailing into the woods ( *or he told 'Rusted nails' or something like that).

Just swiped some Beccariana from AA. As Taha claims "Then there's the fact that its 100% Aquilaria Beccariana, so its exponentially prettier to the nth degree."
It is a very pretty smelling oil..

@Ensar could you confirm my question yesterday in regards to Borneo 3000 no2? In regards to inoculants i have smelt oils made from trees like this and they smelt terrible and leave you with a headache. What leads you to believe the trees have been inoculated? I hope the expertise applied to get to this conclusion aren't the same as those applied when you thought an oil was Crassna when in fact it was malaccensis :p. Again it comes down to trust and i trust Imperial Oud as well as yourself to not be using inoculants.

Many years of experience handling organic agarwood; seeing the trees in person; interviewing farmers about common practices; etc etc. That is a 5ish year-old tree in the first picture @Faizal_p posted. You're deluded if you think that kind of resin can occur naturally.....

As for the crassna-turned-malaccensis thing.... I found the answer to that already. My nose didn't lie to me.... But we'll let bygones be bygones.

Have a fragrant life! :)

Is there a reason that all these people from ouddict signed up within a 3 day period and the discourse on this forum has turned snarky and sh*tty as a result now? Is this an organized troll job? I'm really happy I don't read that website, are they going to snark at me for being kafir? Smh.
