Closer study of sulaweisi king vs phillipines king from Imperial Oud today
Sulaweisi:
The piece like a ring. Took shavings from all around. Area shaved looks like crayon. Shiny and oily. Parts brittle parts carve like smooth frozen butter.
The scent? Classic cummingiana as I know it from the Philippines is there minus the white pepper funk that I have seen in tawi tawi wood. Instead this Sulawesi has a subdued floral note reminiscent of old rose oto mixed with dark jungle honey. Tarragon and savory infused honey. A sweetness rarely seen in other regions and younger infections. Delicious smelling with a ton of fine bubbles.
Philipino king
Small dense nug.
Scent is philipino as I know it. Same kyen piece from taha, that I procured from Alkhadra and Kyarazen. Probably a bit richer and tad more intense. Lasts longer on low heat.
