Hello All,
a subject I keep thinking about every now and then:
Would it not be possible to plant agarwood trees in other tropical countries such as, for example, South America?
I mean, would that not help to increase the overall mass of trees, and thus help protect the agarwood tree from extinction?
Also, South America is far away from China, therefore the trees would not so easily bought / cut down by "lucky wood" hunters, right?
Of course the scent profile will be different, but isn´t that something we look for in our Oud?
Maybe South American oud could even surpass Vietnamese wood / Kyara!
Looking forward to hear your opinions!
