Sotn: Wallapatta wood fumigation (gift from a friend in dubai) + Oud Zaccahariya. In the third exp I can say I could finally understand the unique aroma of Walla. Awestruck. Esp the fumes at the very onset on 15v low medium heat. Zacchariya is Hindi Intense. Funk of Assam layered over sweet woodiness of Eastern Wood. Intense experience. Instant comfort of Hindi/Burmi plus Energising Minitiness of Walla. Feel like a Hermit lost in trance of Oud. Woohoo !

P.S. there s a slight minty tingling left in my sinus passages. Never experienced before. Is this normal with Wallapatta ?

Archipelago (2008). One of my favorite non barny Ouds. Deep woody aroma. Every nuance is in perfect order in perfect balance. This is going to be called a legend when its gone for sure. Breathtakingly beautiful and soulful. Unique depth which keeps pulling me in towards the Oud core. Usually the oils go inside out. This goes outside in. The aroma gets more and more meaningful with time. What a fine specimen of Ensar bhai's distilling prowess. A must study oil spcimen in my humble opinion.

Sinharaja X. I was aware that when released, this oil was very young and recently distilled. The lack of aging was part of the lower pricing. Well, for those that got it and are planning on holding onto it, will, in my opinion, be rewarded with one of the finest Walla patta oils available. This has deepened and richened a great deal since I first got it. I don't know how Ensar managed to coax some of the bitter medicinal Guallam kinamic notes, but they are unmistakably in there. Man, did this one surprise today.
Has that honeyed quality as well but it is a 'darker', more incensy oil than Ceylon 1, for example, which is my reference for Sri Lankan oud. I feel extremely lucky to not have missed this future classic.

@kesiro Couldn't agree with you more sir, it has aged amazingly well, which makes me unbelievably excited about Suriranka Senkoh. But Sinharaja X is an amazing oil especially given what it sold for.

ImperialOud Kambodi Imperiale:

Sugar-coated grounded wood barks, scoop of cardamom-flavored vanilla icecream, and handful of dried fruits, sour mango and brush of green lime peel mixed together in metallic bowl and garnished with white flowers and petitgrain, tobacco leaves, and traces of Band-Aid heated on low temperature to be enjoyed by inhaling the blissful vapors.

I would classy this uber excellent brew with addicted quality as one of the few atypical “golden-hued” Cambodi oils.

Or should I say Bornean Cambodi?…

For me, the most elite oils have defied my ability to describe the scent in terms of notes we are familiar with. I believe the reason is that these Oud's have such unique profiles and do not smell like other things we are familiar with.
Chiem Po Chai is one of these oils. I just cannot describe this scent properly. It is a bitter, medicinal, lush aroma that does not come across as Cambodi in any way. It is a powerhouse, base heavy yet not lacking in nuance. A monster oil. A deep bow to Ensar for this stunning creation.

Agar Aura Kekasihku unreleased Brunei oud oil,

Drops of peetroot juice on lugumes-flavored sweet sugarcane and wood garnished with salary stick and bell pepper with pinch of salt and Stachys herb on top served in clay bowl with a slice of wet bread on side. Then gee-flavored sandalwoody incensy resinous sweetness keeps getting intensfied throughout its development turning it into a beauty; no bugs here. One of the most unique oud oils aroma from the rare Klampei agarwood species.

Agarwood salad freshly harvested from the wild agawood garden of Mother Nature…

Totally freakin awesome Ammar! I did not know anyone else got this treasure. As a running joke, as Taha can attest, I renamed this oil Kikka Assu. It is one of a kind.

Tigerwood 1995 (EO) - finally tried this gem! I had long since obtained Tigerwood Royale, and had figured that Tigerwood 1995 was sort of the red-headed stepchild or disheveled sibling of Tigerwood Royale.. Not the case!! Glad I tried it! This one is just as magnificent as TR in its own way - loving the aged resinous liquor qualities..

T95 throws a variety of Oud tantrums. Its like teasing me everytime I wear it. Never revealing itself completely at one go :) superb oil. I am high on Aroha Kyaku today. I am so glad I found a bottle. I always wanted a Crassna like this. Unbelievable depth and character in this distillation. Classic. I think I will soon have an EO Oud Army marching in my scent cupboard pushing perfume sprays to the back.

Indeed my friend, the ouds have bottomless intrigue where I find the perfumes and things (and lesser essential oils) just don't captivate me the same way..

Looking forward to exploring the sides of T95 - it's such a delightfully "red" oil so far - fantastic!
