Oud Zachariyya (EO) - wore some of this last night before bed and enjoyed it so much it's my morning oud today also - what a great Hindi! People who enjoyed Oud Sulaiman III will love this one.. Super deep and mythological sort of scent..

No doubt the Z is amazing! I am planning on bringing it out tonight.

This morning is the very very nice Syed Succor. I love Merauke oils. This one is deeply satisfying. Deep, dark and brooding yet with a sunny brightness. Most of the damp jungle smell does not exist in this oil and there is beautiful subtle sweetness which creates a lovely balance. Dang!

I'm finding no compelling reason to not apply the same. ;)

Borneo Thaqeel today! Beautifuly golden, honey thick oil. Scent reminds me of the spring and summer playing in the forest as a youth. Warm spices, hay, dry earth, and subtle spruce and pine essence!

@Ensar if I may ask do you plan on doing anymore Thaqeel oils in the future?

Trying some Kekasihku today. A here to unreleased Brunei from Taha. Man, this stuff is pheromonelly sexy. Feels like is has some time left to cure but even now it is beautiful but also very deep. Definitely will be interesting watching this one develop.

Hey @Gaianmind, the Borneo Thaqeel was unique among Borneos for two reasons: one, it was entirely from Sarawak Province (Malaysia, politically speaking), and two, it was THICK.

I have no plans to do any thick Borneos at the moment (quite the contrary, I'm working on a pretty thin one!) but I AM working on a super thick Thai/Cambodi organic by the name of Oud Haroon. Whoever was infatuated with the original Thaqeel ought to try it and give us their thoughts.

Oud Dhul Q (now sold out) was also a thick version of Aroha Kyaku. Dom Kwan, too, was pretty thick, if not the thickest we've released so far.

Sounds wonderful! Yeah Borneo Thaqeel is on my long list of oils that I wish I'd grabbed a full bottle of. On the upside I do own many beautiful oils that I'm immensely thankful for. May everyone have a relaxing weekend filled with radiant health!!

"Vietnam Special K" (AA) - holy guacamole, what an oil - I received a .3g qty and transferred most of it to a .1ml v-vial for storage. The remaining little puddle sits at the bottom of the the sample vial, slowly oxidizing and thus "aging" rapidly (and ultimately, probably not as well) in relation to the v-vial sample - a small bit of this is quite delightful today, a soaring and majestic sort of scent..

Did you sample Kiyosumi too? if yes, how would you compare it to Vietnam Special K? I understood it was very similar but the latter being of higher quality in terms of raw materials/oleoresin content

Not yet ,but Kenmei I did try. It is still young and curing but smells like a baby brother of the VK. Perhaps a little more base but that gorgeous kinam not is there, just not as intense. Basically I would totally agree with the notion that the oils differ on oleoresin content. The Kiyosumi is also on my must get list. Its a Vietnam Oud, what's there to contemplate? LOL
