@kesiro You probably have only had one go at the AA Lubani, but did the Oud mesh well with the frankincense? I'm about the pull the trigger on this one, but was just curious to hear your thoughts. Many thanks, doc.

I'm wearing FO Sandal 100k Hybrid today and have been for a few days.

I caved into buying a very small bottle of the sandal as I have had no new fragrances for a very long time as I am drip-by-drip paying off the balance in full of a rather large order elsewhere.

It's really unlike Ensar's offerings of the sandalwood tree, his are luxuriously aged & refined and this is obviously very, very new to the point of having a green note singing through it. Happily I really like it. What a gratifying surprise that was to me, I had just resigned myself to the view of only liking the most mature offerings. Full review shall be posted on the sandalwood review thread.

Also.. Crème de Santal?
:p
What a tease!

To answer the question, the oud and frankincense mesh seamlessly in this blend. At first the Frank is more dominant but as it drys, the oud comes out. It is so lovely. Sorry to hear its gone.

@PEARL Wise words dear sir. I really appreciate the long message. For me it isnt about regions either but the oud itself. But there s a definite regional dna of these oils. And Hindi happens to be the one which connects with me best. Plus I could not indulge in those legends ever. I am late to the party. And for today s rate whatever little is remaining is way too costly. I wore Assamugo Senkoh today. It has a minboggling symphony of oddly placed olfactory sounds. Bewitching. It turned out Hindi again. Ahaha. But jokes apart I love Sri Lanka and certain Meroke profiles. And those mixed regional profiles also make for an interesting study. Cheers

Al Shareef Oudh Qandahaar II, First wear:

Eucalyptus-flavored whole milk garnished with rose, sage, basil and dash of clove and cardamom sweetened by a drop of maple syrup mixed altogether in woody bowl smeared with black raisin/lime juice and a touch of ambergris, then spilled on outdoor antique leather couch covered in hay on sunny day in the middle of pine forest next to extinguished campfire.

The upgraded classy version of Qandahaar I, the wise old soul grandfather with Hudhayl smiling far in the background, the epitome of artisan distillation…and a plus point it really can clear congested stuffed nose LOL!

Oud Chypre mixed with Vicks VapoOud…

EO's Assam Organic 2010. What a beautiful combination of long lasting Oudh, the sweetness in this Oudh combined with the perfect barn makes this Oudh a perfect wear for any hot or cold day (although its pretty hot here in Los Angeles at the moment) but each time I put this Oudh on, it makes me appreciate Indian Oudh even more. Thank you Ensar for this lovely gem!

Yes!, very good oil:)
The barn has an attack, but no off-note, simply delectable

The first time I sampled Oud Zachariyya was over a year ago. My barn sniffing capabilities were not very developed back then. That sample eventually oxidized in the vial, so I mixed it with Ward Al Tai'fi.
Fast forward to the present, armed with some fresh OZ, and BAM!! This is a Seriously-Good oil:confused:
The barn is of the Oud Mostafa genre, then add to that an agarwoody woodiness that let's you know the caliber of wood that went into this. I also enjoy the rich pollen which has me intrigued, what brings about that nice pollen smell, is it the region?, the distillation?

The downside is that I can't swipe my forced-aged Hindis anymore. I'll have to sell them...:p:p:p

today was a nice swipe of FO Bio Hirta. It was my first wearing, and I am impressed with the quality considering the price :)
Excellent! I was curious about this oil. What's it like?

Today was an oud overload day. Malay Encens, AA Al-jazzab, Manek, and the icing on the cake being Sinhiraja X. The crazy thing is the day is barely half over!!!

@kesiro, I didn't get to focus on it as much as I'd like, but I got bright bluegreen saline and exotic sweet florals...dry woodiness and faint spice and vanilla, with a herbal sweet spearmint like finish. Very nice, especially the sweet floral note that carried throughout the majority of the experience.

I really want to try Sri Lankan's, such as the Sinhiraja.

A quick swipe of the last remaining drops of the Oud Mustafa 4 just before calling it a night. This Oudh has a very similar resemblance to the OM5 but more of the Cambodi pursat note is visible. The thickness is just like the OM5 and the silage is, just as good. It bears the Mustafa series logo, so it will always be special!

You are quite brave to use the last swipe of OM4.
I regard that oil very highly.
