Today I got a chance to wear the legendary Sultan Sufyan. I forgot how dang awesome this Oudh is. The moment I opened the small sample bottle I have, I closed my eyes (my students were watching me do this) and the first thing that hit me were the beautiful incensey notes from many regions. You can imagine yourself sitting on some deserted island and enjoying some coconut water dreaming of just relaxing with the smooth tones of the sea hitting very gently and softly. I think this is due to the exotic fruit notes found in this beast of a Oudh.
This Sultan Oudh is one of the best Sultan series Oudh I have come across. Mouthwatering, heart stopping, and jaw dropping good.
I mean taking a bath in this stuff would probably be just right. Simply breathtaking!!!

Unfortunately Sultan Sufyan is the only Sultan Series oil I've had the pleasure of wearing and the most unique oil I've ever worn.

Ensar Oud~Oud Nuh and Agarwood Assam~Hastakshar Kalakassi, the Austringer and the Accipiter.

I'm wearing a home made nappy rash oil, perhaps the world's most expensive.

We have all been down with particularly vile London-spawned gastroenteritis for the past few, and the damage it caused to little bums was heartbreaking.

Even the most potent creams fell behind today and I was desperate.

Argan oil as the base, 100 drops, 30 drops FO OST, 15 drops Santal 100k Hybrid.

Sincere apologies to Adam here, I realise that it's the exact opposite use to which they were created for. When your little ones are in pain you would do anything to make it stop.

I'm just pathetically grateful it worked beyond all reasonable expectations.

From screaming over the lightest spray of lukewarm water in the shower to toddling happily about two minutes later it was well worth it. It seems to have numbed the pain and I will check on the redness later.

Thank creation for Oud, Sandal and Argan.
Dear good sir, forgive me if I've misread this, but are you saying that you've mixed these fine Feel Oud oils together and have been slathering them all over the red and inflamed buttocks of you and your family?

Just the little ones, you naughty little boffin.

As for your doubtless spotty and hideous hindquarters, inflamed or not, the only action I would undertake regarding them would be to ram the tip of my solidly booted foot right up your....

There would be no oil or any other sort of lubrication involved.

On a more collegial and scholarly note I think it no accident of biology that we find Oud and sandal so pleasing in the same way that edible berries are appealing to the senses in regards to taste, colour and aroma we should have no surprise that substances revered in antiquity for their scent should also have therapeutic uses if applied topically.

On a tangent perhaps, but I bet that essential oils and on a more primitive level of abraded plant matter on skin were originally used as insect repellents, antiseptics and only later were valued as sexual and status signalling tools.

My SOTD is Vintage Old Spice. (60's / 70's)

Adikuto X today. This is definitely in the style of AK, Dhul Q, and AK LTD. Variations on a theme and definitely different enough to stand apart. Has that crave worthy smokiness. The red fruit of AK much less pronounced. The green less pronounced than the LTD. More agarwoody than either. Value for the $? C'mon! Total no brainer.

Well good dear sir, my most esteemed colleague and brother-in-oud - I rarely fling baseless accusations around, however, I think we can all agree that it is extraordinarily unlikely that a man such as yourself would be able to resist slathering at least a little of the oud/sandal blend on his own buttocks after he had taken care of the ailing children.. There is no shame in this (even if there was no rash to begin with) - many others would have done the same - not respectable men necessarily, but a common core of humanity runs through us all..

*sad sigh*

I suppose that in my years of decreptitude I should in theory be greatful that anyone at all is imagining my oiled buns.

SOTD is yet more of Adam's lovely jubbely Sandal Hybrid 100k.

Tigerwood royale in the morning to keep my sanity intact and Dhul Q in the evening to enjoy some high grade incense aroma after a tension filled day. Let's just say these Oudh's make things in life much easier and enjoyable.

SANITY IS FOR THE WEAK!

SOTA: Arabian Oud, Disgust & Green Tea.

On Broadway in NY earlier, I noticed an outlet across the street and was tempted in. I wondered what I would find appealing in their selection. I emerged 10 minutes later with the beginning of a xenochemically manufactured headache and a few disgusting smells on my skin that I wanted to get rid of in a hot shower.

Annoyed and more queasy as each long minute ticked into another I got to a starbucks on 7th and ordered a small hot water with three green tea bags on the side. No luck, got a bottle of iced green tea instead. That and a fistful of baby wipes did the trick after 5 minutes of scrubbing.

I'm in Bryant Park right now, about to be picked up for Philly. Going to NY is always a mixed kind of joy as I both love the bustle and hate the rudeness, enjoy the verbe and loathe the stink but there will be exactly zilch-o regret in leaving this time.

If anyone wants to repeat my experience my advice would be to take a small bottle of water and some cheap green tea bags.

As soon as I get to my hotel room though, long hot shower with longer hot bath...

Ahaha. Arabian Oud is a ripoff brand. Some nice perfumes like the good old Kalemat. Beyond that its a chemical lab through and through. Their attars are even more dosgusting than Al Haramain barring a few. Only for basic users. Sorry to hear that experience. I can relate to it. Hahaha.

EO China Sayang and some Sinking Wallapatta fumes. My favorite Chinese Oil till now. Real woody incensy feel. The Wallpatta fumes provide me with a sweet smokey glow.
Many congratulations on the China Sayang Sir. It truly is a special oil. You also have to try its younger brother, Hainan 05. Ohhhh I think it will make you really happy Doc!!
