Woah a paste? Please do tell us more about this product Sidi Ensar?
Well it's a translucent golden liquid, but smells just like raw civet paste if you know what I mean! Super animalic (no cows / horses / sheep in the equation: just the noble civet cat) but hoyeyed and floral at the same time. Distilled a la Chugoku Senkoh. Amazing stuff. I am hoping that by 2025 when it might hit the website, it will have matured to an oil loftier than the loftiest Hindis we've released to date o_O

How does AOM compare to Oud Zacharriya?
I love both!
I mentioned that AOMeg is the Hindi profile that I prefer. But when it comes to different types of Barnyards o_O The Creamy Smooth Rounded barnyard of OZ is awesome, just like in the Oud Mostafa series. It's a scent that I dare say is Holy? Okay, that's overdone, but that type of barn does make me feel humbled. I also love musky barns, and ambergrisified barns, but civet barnyard?? I'd have to smell it first.
Getting back to OZ.......the agarwoodiness is sublime, and the potency lasts through the drydown. Awesome wood! Awesome oil! To put it into a reality check, it is an oil that you just can't find anywhere else.....Period! (True Oriscent grade:p:p:p) But I think the Oriscent comparison is overdone, just check-out some Sultan oils, and you'll find that the Ensar Oud branding is quite formidable.

AOMeg has just a hint of smokiness which makes me imagine it being distilled in a Deg. Certainly there is an old-school flavor here. A well balanced mix of what we love in Hindi oils, strength, and a good barn to boot! A barn that might get you noticed in public, if you know what I mean:eek: AOMeg is Hindi to the bone, after smelling it, it reset my olfactory senses, now I can't swipe my forced-aged Hindis, plus I can detect the scent enhancement. I won't name names though;)

Lately, I have been very taken with some of the Rose Attars I have experienced. The most complex being Ensar's Sultan Leather attar. Today I am wearing Taha's Al-Jazzab v.2. This is a totally different animal. And it is in your face to be sure but the subtleties here are amazing. The rose starts of a very Bulgarian smelling and then softens and morphs into a heady and airy Egyptian rose. It even hints towards a jasmine note. All the while there is the oud, churning in the background. Beauty and the beast this one is. Like the Sultan Leather, both are beast mode in terms of longevity. So much fun to experience olfactory art of this caliber.

Sinharaja X today. Wow this oudh is really maturing well. I am getting more of the Wala Patta notes which everyone so desperately has to try if not done so. The fruit is there but the wood is becoming louder and louder. Just awesome!

I'm wearing a home made nappy rash oil, perhaps the world's most expensive.

We have all been down with particularly vile London-spawned gastroenteritis for the past few, and the damage it caused to little bums was heartbreaking.

Even the most potent creams fell behind today and I was desperate.

Argan oil as the base, 100 drops, 30 drops FO OST, 15 drops Santal 100k Hybrid.

Sincere apologies to Adam here, I realise that it's the exact opposite use to which they were created for. When your little ones are in pain you would do anything to make it stop.

I'm just pathetically grateful it worked beyond all reasonable expectations.

From screaming over the lightest spray of lukewarm water in the shower to toddling happily about two minutes later it was well worth it. It seems to have numbed the pain and I will check on the redness later.

Thank creation for Oud, Sandal and Argan.
